报告摘要:
Anna Piwowar's work on linear time-varying (LTV) systems has led to the development of methods that improve the dynamic responses of electrical filters, which is essential for increasing the efficiency of filtering processes. The use of LTV filters in her research demonstrates an advanced approach to managing system load fluctuations, which is critical for reduction of harmonic distortions to improve the quality of electrical power. Dr. Piwowar has also applied her research to practical industrial applications, particularly projects that improve manufacturing processes through automated identification and removal of defects using blasting techniques.
报告人简介:
Anna Piwowar is a research and teaching staff member at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Poland. She holds both a master's and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering domain from the same university, and her experience covers a wide range of electrical engineering disciplines.
With more than 70 scientific articles, Dr. Piwowar's research focuses mainly on nonstationary systems and parametric filter design. Her notable work includes the optimization of active power filters, significantly improving power quality in electric power distribution networks.
In addition to her research, Dr. Piwowar is a dedicated teacher, teaching courses ranging from electrical engineering fundamentals to advanced topics such as electromagnetic field theory and signal processing. Her teaching philosophy aims to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application, meeting the needs of a diverse student base by offering instruction in both Polish and English.
Anna Piwowar is also an active member of the professional community. She serves as Secretary of the Presidium of the Gliwice Branch of the Society of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP) and is a member of the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering (PTETiS). Her involvement in these organizations underscores her commitment to professional development and cooperation in the field.
Her international experience has been further enhanced by an internship at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, broadening her perspective on global engineering practices.
Her contributions to academia and industry have been recognized with several awards, including multiple awards from the Silesian University of Technology for scientific, teaching, and organizational achievements. In addition, she was awarded the Bronze Medal for Long Service by the President of the Republic of Poland.
Overall, Dr. Anna Piwowar's career has been marked by her commitment to advancing the understanding and application of electrical engineering through research, dedicated teaching, and active participation in professional circles. Her work not only contributes to the development of her field, but also prepares the next generation of engineers to meet future challenges.
