On December 20-21, two high-end conferences, Optical Engineering Cooperation Meeting and the Industrial Design and Visual Communication Cooperation Meeting of "2022 International Conference on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation (Hebei)", guided by the Ministry of Education and Hebei Provincial People's Government, sponsored by the National Center for Schooling Development Programme and jointly organized by Hebei Education Department and Yanshan University (YSU), were held online and grandly, with 68 well-known scholars from 8 countries including China, Russia, the United States and South Korea, giving thematic reports.

As part of the 2022 International Conference on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation organized by the Ministry of Education in 15 provinces and autonomous regions, with the theme of "Integration of Industry, University, Research and Application, Innovation Driving Development", the two meetings focused on optical engineering and industrial design respectively, and aimed to lay out innovation chain around the industrial chain, reshape the talent chain and education chain with innovation chain, build a new platform for international cooperation of industry, university, research and application in the post-epidemic era, and establish a community of S&T innovation.

On the morning ofDecember20, online opening ceremonies were held for the two meetings. Optical Engineering Cooperation Meeting was presided over by Professor Chen Yuee of YSU. Chen Guoqiang, member of the Standing Committee of YSU Party Committee and Vice President, and Zhukov, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, delivered speeches respectively. Professor Guo Youzhi, Vice President of China Water Engineering Association, and Professor Li Changwu, President of Dalian Polytechnic University, gave keynote lectures. Industrial Design and Visual Communication Cooperation Meeting was presided over by Sun Li, Dean of School of Arts and Design, YSU. Wang Limin, a member of Standing Committee of YSU Party Committee and Vice President, and Li Jingyong, Dean of School of Art, Kyungpook National University, Korea, delivered speeches respectively. Professor Fang Xiaofeng of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Professor Hao Ninghui of Central Academy of Fine Arts, Professor Zhang Ming of Nanjing University of the Arts and Professor Lv Jiefeng of Wuhan University of Technology gave keynote lectures.

In his speech, Chen Guoqiang emphasized that YSU has always attached importance to international cooperation in industry, university, research and application, and is an active participant and promoter of cooperation. For the future development, YSU has put forward a new development idea of value leading direction, opening-up gathering strength, and innovation driving future so as to create an open and innovative cooperation mode of YSU with high-level international cooperation, interdisciplinarity and industry-university-research-application collaboration and contribute to promoting the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the high-quality development of "the belt and road initiative" and building a community with shared future for mankind.
